Frank Zander performing at Kottbusser Tor

Last Friday afternoon, while riding the bus, I witnessed an unusual scene from the bus window: German entertainer Frank Zander was singing at Kottbusser Tor (Berlin-Kreuzberg). Some people had gathered around him and a film crew was filming him. I don’t know if he was giving a free concert there or filming a music video.

Berlin Diary – ALIAS

One of realeyz.tv’s translators asked me to look for work by ALIAS. Hmmm. OK. Then, really and truly purely by chance, I ran into a stencil work at Mariannenplatz next to the Bethanien’s new little skateboard set-up. Seems that Kunstraum Kreuzberg will be featuring skater films. Sounds right up our alley! ALIAS – very dramatic.

Walking across the bridge from Friedrichshain to Kreuzberg, a few round, black and white stickers caught my eye. Their target-like form drew me in. Around the edge I read:  kotton.de. Kotton.de is a shop selling ’sweatshop-free’ t-shirts, some with designs by the street artist TONA. BINGO! The nice folks at kotton.de gave me a few
