FilmArche in Berlin is Europe’s first student-managed and self-funded film school. Productions by FilmArche students are regularly invited to major festivals, and Eric Esser, director of soccer zombie short DAWN OF THE DORKS, is an alumnus and organizational committee member. FilmArche’s latest out of the box project is a crowdfunding campaign for six students’ thesis films. As the directors describe them, the six films are personal stories, in genres ranging from comedy to dark drama. It’s heartening to see six young filmmakers join forces to support each others’ projects! We at realeyz are happy to spread the word about our Kreuzberg neighbors’ crowdfunding drive at indie platform Vision Bakery. How could we not be, as “poetic art house” is one participating director ‘s vision for her film.
The crowdfunding campaign runs until Friday, September 5. Join the next wave of cinema and contribute to FilmArche’s graduate films.
