Welcome to Chapter 5 of the 15-part online course “Innovative Film Making” of HFBK Hamburg within the framework of the Hamburg Open Online University (HOOU). “Innovative Film Making” (IFM) is a project of the Experimental Film Division at HFBK Hamburg under the guidance of director Prof. Robert Bramkamp.
The delimitation between “fiction” and “reality” in the audiovisual media is the subject of debate again and again. In this unit, Professor Bramkamp explores with his film Art Girls how moments of the depiction and embedding of reality can be embedded in a “fictional” framework. With a guest contribution by Prof. Dr. Rembert Hüser (Goethe University Frankfurt am Main) on the life of real objects and locations as well as unused material “Outtakes” in a fictional setting.
