Welcome to Chapter 3 of the 15-part online course “Innovative Film Making” of HFBK Hamburg within the framework of the Hamburg Open Online University (HOOU). “Innovative Film Making” (IFM) is a project of the Experimental Film Division at HFBK Hamburg under the guidance of director Prof. Robert Bramkamp.
In this chapter we look at the text in the entire filmic process: from production to reception. The chapter focuses on an excursion by Prof. Dr. Rembert Hüser from the Goethe University in Frankfurt/Main: On the basis of the film credits, Prof. Dr. Hüser explains the four basic film types, which are still perceived and discussed strictly separately in the current reception – in film science and in funding practice.
