The Berlin Film Festival appears to have finally achieved what it has long striven for: well produced and professional entertainment (for the most part at least!) with lively staging, video clips, music shows and good moderation. In decades past, the Berlinale has had all the flair of an amateur theater production. Under-rehearsed at best and at worst, embarrasing. Think Dieter Kosslick and his habit of entertaining audiences with spontaneous quips spoken in English… But last night’s presentation was on another level entirely, it was actually a good show.
more to come!
