Thomas Traum shows “high” and “low” culture joining hands in a quest for money, sex and power. Let the silicon, clunky bling and car grills smack you in the face. Rolls-Royce meets Ghetto Blaster. 1990’s pure. Traum’s clip reads like a requiem
and shows how what was once an art form of rebellion has ended up wallowing in greed and ruthlessness equalled only by the worst corporate exploitation.
After saturation broadcasting can we finally say “been there, done that”? Can we give up the loot and hugh booty and move on to something new?
Not sure what Mahler has to do with it but hey, it’s easy listening….
